Life Changes

It is said that major life changes are very stressful – even the happy ones – so let us be a helping hand to walk you through!

YOUR WEDDING – With all the time, effort and money that goes into planning a wedding, you will want to consider how important it is to protect that investment (in fact, your wedding venue may insist on it). There is coverage for many different scenarios, including but not limited to:

         Cancellation expenses

         Honeymoon cancellation

         Loss of deposit

         Wedding photographs and video

Loss or damage to bridal attire

         Wedding presents

         Rings

         Cake and flowers

         Wedding stationary

         Rented Property

Liability (i.e. a guest slips, falls and hurts themselves)

Property damage (i.e. the sparklers on the bridal cake set the venue on fire)

Liquor Liability – Unfortunately it still occurs that people drive after drinking. Should something happen, as the host of the wedding or event, you could be held liable. This coverage will help to protect you in the case of a lawsuit.

BUYING A NEW HOME – One of your first calls should be to us, your insurance broker. Our goal will be to make the insurance process of your new purchase as painless as possible, even working with your lawyer. There are a few things we will need to know about the house you bought in order to insure it properly and protect your investment:

         Square footage

         Age of home

Style of home (one storey, two storey, etc.)

         Number of bathrooms

         Exterior finishing (brick, stucco, etc.)

         Garage (attached or detached)

Basement square footage and if finished or not

Age and type of updates (roof, electrical, plumbing, heating, water heater)

         And more

If a client does not know the answers to the questions we ask, this does make our job more difficult as we need to make sure we are insuring the home accurately and properly. We strongly encourage the client to reach out to their real estate agent, lawyer, and home inspector to confirm essential details of the house.

We will put your mind at ease during these stressful life changes and work to make the process easier and more enjoyable.
