April Showers Bring May Flowers and, of Course, RAINBOWS!
This is a fun and easy science experiment where you can grow your very own rainbow.
Take a piece of paper towel, fold it in half horizontally, and cut about ⅓ of the paper towel off.
Draw the colours of the rainbow on one end of the paper towel. Make sure to review the colours a few times to ensure enough dye to travel up the paper towel. Repeat the same on the other end.
Pour water into two glasses until they are about ¾ full. Place each end of the coloured paper towel into the glasses. Make sure about ½ of the coloured portion is above the water. Now watch and wait!!!
How long does it take for your RAINBOW to appear? You may also notice the colours spread into the water as well. Enjoy this fun experiment, and never stop chasing rainbows!!
