Catherine’s Chewy Bars

Submitted by Catherine Pont (her mother’s recipe)

Ingredients:
* 1 pack of graham cracker crumbs
* butter or margarine (amount determined while making)
* I bag of chocolate chips (milk chocolate or semi sweet)
* about 1 cup of raisins,
* about cup of walnuts
* 1 can of condensed milk.

~Really all the amounts of toppings will vary depending on your taste~

Directions:
Pour graham cracker crumbs into a bowl.
Add butter or margarine, 1 tablespoon at a time. Add until graham crackers crumbs stick together. Spread on bottom of a 13 x 9 pan (I use glass).

Sprinkle raisins over the graham crackers, followed by walnuts and then chocolate chips.

Open can of condensed milk and just pour over the top covering as much surface as possible.

Preheat oven to 350 C. Put pan in oven for about 10-20 minutes until the toppings have sort of melted and the edges are a golden brown. Let cool. Then refrigerate for as long as you possibly can before wanting to indulge! The colder they are the better. In fact the next day they are amazing! Cut into reasonable size squares and enjoy!
