Creative Custom Mug!
This super fun and easy craft is perfect for Father’s Day and all the special Father figures in our
lives.
For this activity, you will need a plain white mug, acrylic paint markers or oil-based Sharpie
markers, and lots of creativity.
First, have your child help you wash and dry the mug. Bring all your supplies to the table and
get ready to create. We loved the idea of drawing a picture of Dad. This makes for a cute little
keepsake as the years pass and your child’s creative abilities develop. If your child is younger,
you might want to trace their hand or make a little thumbprint picture on the mug.
Writing the year on the mug on the back or the bottom is also a great idea.
After your child has completed their drawing, let the mug air dry for 24-48 hours. Once fully dry,
we will bake the mugs at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. We recommend hand washing the mug
after use to help preserve the design.
You can fill the mug with Dad’s favourite snack and then wrap it up for a thoughtful surprise on
his special day!
Happy Father’s Day!
