3 Ways to Decorate for Fall

Pumpkins, changing leaves, knit blankets, warm drinks: autumn is in the air! We all know this means it’s time to prepare our homes for those cooler nights.
Here are a few ways you can bring the taste of autumn to your bedroom, living space or your outdoor decor.

Fall Blooms

Swap out your spring blooms for autumn colored arrangements. Bring in burnt orange mums, mixed with deep red dahlias, and sprinkled with yellow mums! Use a fall inspired vessel to hold your bouquets, such as hollowed out gourds or pumpkins for a rustic touch. Or go simple by using stalks of wheat in a tall vase as a center piece for your family dinners.

Pile on the coziness

Add in those extra pillows to your bed or your sofa to create warmth. Layering in textiles is the key to creating a comfy and snuggle-worthy space. Toss in chunky knit blankets and warm velvety cushions along with faux furs. Popping in a classic plaid blanket will instantly allude to autumn. Don’t limit plaid just to your throw – bring it in as a table cover or even as a textile for your accent pillows.

Toasty Outdoor Details

Make your outdoor space fall-ready to enjoy those crisp evenings spent sipping on hot cocoa and warm drinks. Add in the classic fall harvest like mini pumpkins and gourds atop a crate or a small hay bale. You can use the classic orange pumpkins or go for a more modern look with white mini pumpkins combined with a tall black matte lantern. Adding in a candle will add the perfect soft, welcoming glow to your evening. Do not be afraid to layer your door mats too: lay down a larger patterned mat (perhaps plaid!) with a smaller jute one on top.

Most importantly: don’t forget the flannel pajamas!
