Game, Set, Splat!
Here’s what you’ll need for this art activity:
- First and foremost, an outdoor space!
- Old tennis balls
- Plastic bowls
- Washable paint
- An easel and large paper
- A bucket of soapy water to wash hands before even entering the house!
Set up the your easel with a piece of paper. Put some paint in plastic bowls (at least two colours work best to give some variety). Put a tennis bowl in each paint, and set the paint about five steps from the easel. Choose a thrower and be sure everyone else is standing behind the thrower to avoid getting splattered. The thrower carefully picks up a painty tennis ball and throws it at the easel, making a splatter mark on the paper. Repeat until your artwork is complete. Wash painty hands in the bucket of soapy water for easy cleanup.
