London French Day Care
London French Day Care (LFDC) opened their first child care centre in 2013 in North London. Their services were in response to the growing demand of parents of all backgrounds, wishing to give the gift of the French language to their children.
In 2020, LFDC expanded its services across London and Middlesex County, creating a Licensed Home Child Care Agency. Now parents preferring a cozy home environment for their children’s early learning have that choice!
The women who founded the London French Day Care organization offer a long history of community involvement and a passion for helping families. This is their calling, to help families!
Nicole Buteau, president, received a Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Medal in recognition for her contribution to the community. She is former president of the London-Hyde Park Rotary Club, the Hyde Park Business Association, Table de concertation francophone de London, the Carrefour des femmes du Sud-Ouest de l’Ontario and current president of the Club Richelieu London. She most enjoyed her work as a Newcomer Settlement Counsellor at ACFO, helping newcomers settle in London.
Perpétue Nitunga, vice-president, was recognized on the City of London Mayor’s Honor List in 2012 for her humanitarian work in the community. She worked closely with war and hate crime victims at ACFO. She also helped newcomers start a business when she was in charge of the ACFO Business Centre. Today, she plays a key role in helping new providers start their home child care service with the London French Day Care Home Child Care Agency.
The mission of the London French Day Care is to offer peace of mind to parents. This is what the LFDC provide for their clients with their licensed centre and home-based quality child care services. Childcare fee subsidies are available for centre and home-based services.
The LFDC is growing! Opportunities are plentiful for persons looking to start a career in child care and wishing to work independently from home.
