My NEW New Year’s Resolutions
I’m feeling sick and tired of the New Year’s resolutions we make every year that don’t stick. So this year, I’ve compiled a list of resolutions to make 2024 a year of joy!
- I will listen to my favourite music when I’m driving in the car
- I will enjoy a long bubble bath once a week, even if a pup (or kids, for you mamas of young ones) is scratching at the door
- I will eat dessert! (especially when I’ve taken the time to prepare a healthy meal)
- I will watch funny movies because laughter is the best medicine
- I will say no to things that don’t bring me joy
- I will people-watch instead of scrolling on my phone while I wait in line at stores (because people-watching is a GOOD time!
- I will take the time to sip my tea or coffee and let my mind wander
- I will head outside on a cold day to catch a snowflake on my tongue or make a snow angel or do something that reminds me of childhood
- I will read The Mom & Caregiver print-edition or online-version to learn new parenting tips and tricks, and to feel inspired!
Here’s what you’ll find in The Mom & Caregiver this month! Deal with your emotional pain to free yourself on page 12. Find out what SMART stands for (this acronym can help you have a better year) on page 15. Get fashion and home décor advice from the freshest faces – you’ll see what we mean on page 11. Page 8 will help you become an epic dad. And stay active and pain free in 2024 on page 21.
Our wish for you is a new year filled with less stress and more joy. Please remember to take care of yourselves this year, parents, as a well-cared-for adult is the best person to love and take care of sometimes needy little ones. Happy 2024!
