The Blue Sun is Fantastic
The great thing about this craft is:
- It’s easy and fun to do
- It uses materials you can find right at home
- You can continue to play with it
- All of the above
It’s d.) All of the above, of course!
Making these story rocks starts by gathering these materials:
- Smooth rocks
- Paint(s) and a paintbrush
Let the kids paint the rocks in a variety of colours and set them to dry completely. Then add words to the rocks with a Sharpie – use a variety of word types like nouns, verbs, adverbs, adjectives, pronouns, etc. If the kids are little, you can ask for their help thinking of words, and Mom or Dad can do the printing. If the kids are bigger, they can of course, print themselves.
Then use your story rocks to make funny sentences (eg. The blue sun is fantastic OR My silly bunny is in the tent).
You can even add more story rocks to your collection if your little ones get bored.
