Your Inner Pot Of Gold

Back in June of 2019, with the sun on my face and my feet in the grass, I sat in my backyard. We were in the midst of getting the house ready to sell and the dust of divorce had settled within our families. I exhaled, looked down at my feet and surprisingly gazed upon my first four-leaf clover. Wow!

What a moment when you find such a rare gem, whose odds of being discovered is 1 in 10,000.

 

Then, in a miraculous mystical way, I found another. And another. And another. In fact, within four weeks, at a variety of places including my home, the baseball field, the park and on the side of the road, I had a bowl of 30 four leaf clovers sitting in my kitchen for people to marvel at, wondering how something like that could ever happen. I took it as a sign I was onto good luck and happiness.

 

And then, in a drastic turn of events during our seemingly smooth separation process, I found out we were pregnant. And our baby was due on St. Patrick’s Day. A lucky charm indeed, with a WTF moment.

 

I then viewed the four-leaf findings as a manifestation that this was always written in the stars, and it shifted my beliefs to a place of inner truth that no matter how hard you try to control your life, there is always a greater path that you don’t see unfolding before you. My son Charlie, for example, with his willful, leprechaun spirit has taught me to stop holding on so tight to perfection, and rather sink more deeply into fun, play and presence. My way of being in life has changed.

 

Maybe it won’t be a surprise pregnancy during your divorce, however there may be a few raised eyebrows during the process with things you didn’t see coming. My suggestion is to always look for the pot of gold within you that is filled with truth, trust and strength. And may that be the only lucky charm you need, darling.
